We have an open position available for a storekeeper to expand our inventory control team. This position is a full-time, permanent position (40 hours per week) at our base maintenance facility, located at Maastricht Airport, The Netherlands.

SAMCO Aircraft Maintenance is an independent maintenance facility for a large range of regional jet and turboprop aircraft. The company has about 300 employees, of which about 200 works at the home base facility, located at Maastricht Airport, and just under 100 at various airports across the world.

Application description

In the position of storekeeper, you are mainly responsible for inventory control and the processing of incoming and outgoing aircraft parts, tools and materials in an ERP system. Furthermore, the job covers the usual activities belonging to general inventory control.
As a storekeeper you will be part of the inventory control department and work in two shifts, early and late, in a team which consists of both men and women of young to middle age. We are looking for you if you’d like to become a member of our excellent team. Does this appeal to you? Let us know!

Task description / Responsibilities include

•Handling and acceptance of incoming goods.

•Loading and unloading of goods, occasionally with a forklift.


•Physical unpacking of incoming goods and performance of incoming inspections & content control.
•Processing of incoming and outgoing goods in an ERP system.


•Scanning and digital storage of supporting paperwork.


•Preparation of shipments (proper packing of materials) and arrangement of transport.


•Issuance of materials and aircraft parts & tools.


•Keeping track on products that are subjected to expiration (shelf life).


•Periodical stock checks and inventory balancing.


•Any other tasks that occur in relation with material handling in an aviation environment.


•Maneuver large objects with a fork-lift.


•Keep the store facility clean and tidy.

Requirements

•Average level of computer skills and applications such as MS Word, Excel and Outlook.

•Communication skills in the English language in word and writing.

•Flexible attitude and willing to cover weekend and evening duties in a regular schedule.

•You will be trained on the job, though experience in a warehouse or stockroom environment is a plus.

•Knowledge of FIFO, Shelf life, Dangerous goods, Hazardous materials etc. is a plus. 

•Forklift license is a plus.
