We have an open position available for a cabin interior worker to expand our base maintenance department. This position is a full-time, permanent position (40 hours per week) at our base maintenance facility, located at Maastricht Airport, The Netherlands.

SAMCO Aircraft Maintenance is an independent maintenance facility for a large range of regional jet and turboprop aircraft. The company has about 300 employees, of which about 200 works at the home base facility, located at Maastricht Airport, and just under 100 at various airports across the world.

We have a great team of experienced technicians, supported by a strong support group consisting of various departments like warehouse, shipping, tool store, purchasing, planning, engineering, ICT and finance.

Application description

As a cabin interior worker, you will be using your experience within the aircraft interior environment for all maintenance activities. You will be working in the interior shop which is part of the base maintenance department. Putting safety and quality first, you will ensure compliance with Health & Safety procedures whilst carrying out aircraft maintenance within the limits of your company approvals.

During the maintenance of an aircraft, the cabin interior worker troubleshoots and repairs problems related to the inside of the aircraft. This might include preparation and sizing of carpets or refurbishments and repairs on upholstery and interior panels, pax seats, overhead bins and galleys, etc.

Upcoming (junior) cabin interior employees work under close supervision of an experienced cabin interior worker.

Task description / Responsibilities include

•Carry out maintenance on, and inspection of, cabin interior work.
•Evaluate and estimate cabin interior defect rectifications, modifications and other specialized repairs.
•Any other tasks and duties as reasonably required in accordance with the needs of the business.

Requirements

•Communication skills in the English language in word and writing.
•Flexible attitude and willing to cover weekend and evening duties in a regular schedule.
•If necessary, you will be trained on the job, though experience in a similar position is a plus.
•EASA approved aircraft cabin interior training certificates are a plus.
•Experience with so called “tedlar” work on aircraft cabin and galley equipment is a plus
